The overall experience was very good as again the presenter was able to effectively cover quite a bit of auditing information, while keeping it interesting. The Yellow Book is a valuable auditing tool and auditors must be familiar to understand internal controls to minimize fraud from occurring and maximizing fraud being detected. The instructor did a great job of explaining what the yellow book was and how it was applied. I do not do any government auditing work but wondered what the differences were. Now I have a clear idea of this. It was not at all boring and very informative. It was a good refresher for ethics, especially independence.
